We have resolved in our current generation products ASP3D and ASXP (will be posted in next public builds soon) by simply using a non-https URL ( ). Active Sky XP (ASXP) brings the popular award-winning Active Sky weather engine to the X-Plane platform for the first time. Currently they are working on updates that will generate snow on the ground immediately. For those of you that want to be able to fly in customized weather, here's an easy to use tip that will help you with generating customized METARS:1) Utilizing SERVINFO 2.0, choose the TOOLS/METARS/REQUEST BY ICAO CODE option.2) Pick a region and click the check mark.3) You can now use the Icons on the left to sort the list by weather type.4) Just go down the list until you find the METAR you. Personally Im waiting for HiFi, love Active Sky in XP and P3D. ![]() This is the first we've heard of an issue here but it seems to affect all Active Sky products. I am also pointing LittleNavMap weather to the same folder for. P2ATC is reporting the weather as Clear, Winds light and variable QNH 0000 which I assume means that it thinks something is available but not reading it correctly. It works fine with a normal web browser but not our client. Im using V2.5.0.7圆4 and pointing the Active Sky folder in the config to C:usernameAppDataHiFiASXPWeather. Apparently the VATSIM URL we were using to obtain the active METAR data URL ( ) is no longer returning result data for our programmatic "client", possibly due to an unexpected redirect, change at their web server end or to something with. ![]()
